![]() I slowly turn to find a squirrel it scampers off and I am relieved but I turn around to the gruesome animal. My brain is scrambling to collect everything that has just happened as I feel the slight panting on my neck so warm but the smell so vile. When I reach about half way up the tree I stop to look down and find that the ghoulish vampire thing isn’t there anymore. The creature is still occupied so I climb the tree with all my might even with my cut ankle. I look once more In the direction of the dead doe. I fasten my pace and then I see a tall tree. What can I do, the animal would just kill me if I stayed any longer. I can see the creature suckling on the animals’ neck and blood, lots of blood is dripping slowly from the does’ neck as she is crying for my help. A deer maybe? Yes it’s a deer my eyes are finally adjusting to the darkness. I see the faint whiteness of the animals face. The hollowed high pitched screaming has stopped. Its eyes were as red as the setting sun on a hot summer day they looked as if they could look into your soul and see who you are, really see into you. It had jagged yellowish teeth that seemed to glow in the dark cold night air. I looked and saw a ghoul with black streams of smoke trailing behind it. ![]() I ran and ran but the screeching was still close behind so I turned for a little glimpse of the creature.
